South Africa beat West Indies by eight wickets to win the ODI series with two games still to play. West Indies women continued to struggle against the South Africans losing their way early yet again. West Indies batted first and again, failed to get a decent score, getting out for a below-par 157. South Africa made short work of the chase again and Lizelle Lee and co. pumped out the target with 80 balls to spare in their innings.

Hayley Matthews' form with the bat is a big worry: she has registered five single figure scores across both the T20s and ODIs. In this game, Matthews got dismissed by Shabnim when she only reached two and again a West Indies collapse looked inevitable. Apart from Deandra Dottin’s 71 runs, only Rashada Williams’ 37 runs innings had any substantial impact. The pair put up a 77 runs partnership for the third wicket but once Rashada got out to Luus, Dottin remained the only batter who could muster up some runs. Shabnim Ismail notched up three wickets for just 31 runs to headline the South African bowling effort.

In contrast to West Indies opening effort, South African openers have dominated in all of the games, and once again, Woolvardt and Lizelle Lee put on a big partnership. Laura played a fantastic knock of 53 runs off 68 falling when the score reached 122 and the target just 36 runs away. Sune Luus got out cheaply at the score of 130 but Dane van Niekerk and Lizelle knocked home the remaining runs without much worry. Lizelle continued her spectacular form and reeled in 78 runs without getting out.
