Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan of Russia shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight with American Sean O'Malley in the main card of UFC 280 tournament.
"Abu Dhabi is the best place for me, it's my history. I won the championship belt here twice. The first time against Jose Aldo, the second time against Cory Sandhagen. Now I want to smash my next opponent.
O'Malley talks before the fight, I'll talk with my fists," Yan said in an interview with the UFC YouTube channel.
Ian, 29, last entered the Octagon in April 2022 at UFC 273, losing to Aljamain Sterling by split decision. He has 16 wins and three losses to his credit.
O'Malley, 27, faced Pedro Munhoz on the night of July 3 at UFC 276. The fight was stopped in the second round and was ruled a failure due to an accidental poke in the eye by O'Malley. He has 15 wins and one loss under his belt.
