Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker shared his thoughts on the upcoming welterweight division title fight between Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira, which will take place on November 12 at UFC 295 in New York, USA.
Whittaker said on the MMArcade podcast:
This is going to be a gnarly fight. It's crazy for so many different reasons. Obviously, Pereira has an amazing striking game. We've seen it in his fights, and this is his weight division. And Jiri is so unorthodox. He's so hard to get a read on, but he's very hittable. Jiri has an uncanny ability to find the win in harder fights. He looks to be outclassed. He finds the wins.
Pereira last fought against Jan Blachowicz in July 2023 at UFC 291. In that confrontation, Alex won by split decision of the judges. He has eight wins and two losses on his record.
Prochazka last entered the octagon against Glover Teixeira in June 2022 at UFC 275. Jiri won that fight with a submission in the fifth round. He has 29 wins, three losses and one draw.
