Former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has announced his intention to fight three times in 2025 and has named his desired opponents.
I wanna be active, I talk about being active. [Patricio Pitbull] puts on a performance and the UFC wants it, I want to be active. So, whether it’s Lopes, Movsar [Evloev], then [Pitbull] straight away? I want to do that all in one year. I’m happy to fight three times this year. I can keep them all busy and give them all what they want.

It's worth noting that on April 13 in Miami (USA), Volkanovski and Lopez will face each other for the vacant championship title.
Volkanovski's last fight was in February 2024 at UFC 298, where he lost to Ilia Topuria by knockout in the second round. He has a record of 26 wins and four losses.
Lopes last fought against Brian Ortega in September 2024 at UFC 306. That match went the full distance and concluded with a unanimous decision win for Diego. He holds a record of 26 wins and six losses.
