UFC head Dana White has officially announced a bout between Marlon Vera and the promotion's former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo. That fight will take place on August 3 at UFC on ABC 7 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Figueiredo last fought against Cody Garbrandt in April of this year at UFC 300. In that fight, which was stopped in the second round, Deiveson won by choking submission. He has 23 wins, three losses and one draw on his record.
Vera last stepped into the octagon against Sean O'Malley in March of this year at UFC 299. That fight went the full distance and ended in a unanimous decision defeat for Marlon. He has 23 wins, nine losses and one draw.
