Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo of Brazil will fight American Jonathan Martinez at UFC 301 on 5 May in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Aldo, 37, last fought in August 2022 at UFC 278, losing to Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision of judges. He has 31 wins and eight losses on his record.
Martinez, 29, last stepped into the octagon in October 2023 at UFC Fight Night 230, where he defeated Adrian Yanez by technical knockout in the second round. He has 18 wins and four losses on his record.
