UFC fighters reacted on social media to Amanda Nunes, the two-division champion, ending her career after beating Irene Aldana in the main event of UFC 289.

Recall, the fight between Nunes and Aldana lasted all five rounds, at the end of which all the judges gave the victory to the Brazilian. Thus, Amanda defended her bantamweight title and then announced the end of her professional career.
Nunes, 35, fought at UFC 277 in July, 2022, against Julianna Peña. In this fight, Amanda won by unanimous decision of the judges. The Brazilian had two titles - featherweight and bantamweight. She had 23 wins and five defeats on her record.
Aldana, 35, had previously stepped into the Octagon against Macy Chiasson last September at UFC 279. That fight ended in Irene's favor by knockout in the third round. She has 14 wins and seven losses under her belt.
