No. 8 in the UFC lightweight division, Russian Arman Tsarukyan expressed his desire to fight American Beneil Dariush at the UFC 288 tournament on May 6.

Tsarukyan, 26, fought against Damir Ismagulov at UFC Fight Night 216 in December 2022. The fight lasted the whole distance and ended in favor of Arman by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 19 wins and three losses on his record.
Dariush, 33, defeated Mateush Gamrot by unanimous decision at the UFC 280 tournament. He has 22 wins and four losses under his belt.
