Russian mixed martial arts fighter Arman Tsarukyan answered the question whether he would challenge Islam Makhachev if he defeated Beneil Dariush by decision.
Recall, Tsarukyan knocked out Dariush in the first round at UFC on ESPN 52 in Austin (USA).
Charles (Oliveira) knocked him out, and if I won by decision, how am I going to fight for the title? But I knocked him out faster than Charles, and he didn’t take me down like he did with Charles. I performed better than Charles. Charles already had the opportunity, so it’s my time right now.

Prior to fighting Dariush, Tsarukyan competed at UFC on ESPN 47 in June 2023, defeating Joaquim Silva by technical knockout in the third round. He has 21 wins and three losses on his record.
Makhachev last fought in October 2023 at UFC 294, defeating Alexander Volkanovski by first-round knockout in a rematch. In February of that year at UFC 284, Islam defeated Volkanovski by unanimous decision. He has 25 wins and one loss on his record.
Oliveira fought against Beneil Dariush this past June at UFC 289. Charles won that fight by technical knockout in the first round. He has 34 wins and nine losses on his record.
