UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has shared his views on the upcoming rematch between Alexander Volkov and Ciryl Gane, set to take place on December 8 at UFC 310 in Las Vegas.
The first fight between Volkov and Gane occurred in June 2021 at UFC Fight Night 190. That bout went the distance, resulting in a unanimous decision win for Gane.
It’s a good fight. They fought each other before and people don’t seem to be able to remember the first fight because it was a bit of a stinker. Nothing really happened and Ciryl Gane just edged it. I’d say it’s a 50/50 fight. I don’t know. I think Volkov has been in good form lately. Ciryl Gane hasn’t fought for 18 months, so it’s difficult to say where he’s at.
