Reigning UFC middleweight champion, American Sean Strickland commented on the announcement of his fight with South African representative Dricus Du Plessis, which will take place on January 21 at UFC 297 in Toronto, Canada.
Strickland wrote on his social media:
Why Canada?!?! GSP you do this bs?! No guns, no freedom of speech.. UFC you f--ing with me?!?!
Strickland last fought against Israel Adesanya this past September at UFC 293. In that confrontation, Sean won by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 28 wins and five losses on his record.
Du Plessis last entered the octagon against Robert Whittaker in July of this year at UFC 290. Dricus won that fight by technical knockout in the second round. He has 20 wins and two losses on his record.
