Sterling lost to O'Malley by technical knockout in the second round at UFC 292 on August 20.
This all still feels like a bad, bad dream. Unfortunately, it’s not. This sport is really something…. I’m just gonna let it fuel me. I’ll be back.
Sterling, 34, had his previous fight in May 2023 at UFC 288, defeating Henry Cejudo by split decision. He has 23 wins and four losses under his belt.
O'Malley, 28, previously stepped into the octagon in October 2022 at UFC 280, defeating Petr Yan by split decision. He has 17 wins and one loss on his record.
