Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira is confident that light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will defeat Jamahal Hill by knockout and keep his title.
MMA Mania quotes Oliveira as saying:
It's kind of a revenge for all Brazilians for Jamahal beating Glover. He's beaten a lot of Brazilians, but the Glover fight was the one that hurt the most. Pereira is tough and hits hard. He's definitely hungry for revenge too, and wants to avenge Glover's loss. You have to be careful with that, but I'm sure 'Poatan' will knock him out.
Recall, the confrontation between Pereira and Hill will take place on April 14 in Las Vegas (USA) in the main event of the tournament UFC 300.
The 32-year-old Hill has not entered the octagon since January 2023 due to injury. In his last fight at UFC 283, he defeated Glover Teixeira by unanimous decision. He has 12 wins and one loss on his record.
Pereira, 36, last fought in November 2023 at UFC 295, defeating Jiri Prochazka by technical knockout in the second round. He has nine wins and two losses on his record.
