Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou of Cameroon shared his thoughts on American Jon Jones' win over Frenchman Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 on March 5th.
Jones submitted Gane with a first-round choke to win the UFC heavyweight championship belt.
Recall that Jones and Ngannou were originally scheduled to fight, but the UFC and Francis could not agree on the terms of a new contract, so the Cameroonian left the promotion.
I knew if Jones came out with a good attitude and not like he did in the last two fights, he would win. But I didn't think this fight would be so quick. I noticed that Jones was in a hurry. Jon didn't want to give him any space because I think he was afraid of something. So he started chasing him from the first minute. It worked great, but it tells me he wasn't very confident.

Jones made his UFC debut against Brazilian Andre Gusmao. That fight went the distance and ended in Jones' favor by unanimous decision.
