UFC welterweight fighter Muhammad Naimov in an interview with Telecomasia.net spoke about how he signed a contract with the American organization:
I was on a three-fight win streak. I was told that I can get into the UFC at any moment. I thought I would be signed to Dana White's Contender Series. And I have until September. But they called me and offered me a fight for early June against Jamie Mullarkey. I didn't know him. Thought it was about 66 kg, but it was about 70 kg. I answered that I was ready to make the weight in three days. I even joked that I was ready to cut off my legs to make weight.
Recall that the 29-year-old representative of Tajikistan had ten victories in his professional career and suffered two defeats. He will fight British Nathaniel Wood, who has 20 wins and five losses on his record, on October 21 at UFC 294.
