Vidadi Mardanov, president of the NFC League and multiple world champion in jiu-jitsu and grappling, was shot dead in Derbent, Russia. This was reported by the Telegram channel 112.
It is reported that Mardanov came out of the house around four in the morning to meet someone. Footage shows one of the attackers pushing the athlete to the ground and the other finishing him off with a firearm.
Police suspect 27-year-old Timur Asadov and 23-year-old Abdumislim Murtazaliyev, who may be driving a Lada Priora with Moscow region plates.
