UFC lightweight division fighter Muhammad Mokaev in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net commented on the information that Russian fighters will not take part in the Olympic Games in Paris.

I don't think it's right to boycott the Olympics. If the team refuses, then all sports should refuse. To single out wrestling and say they won't go, that's ruining the careers of athletes. For them, the Olympics is like a fight for the UFC title for fighters. Such opportunities come once every four years. The only one who could go was Shamil Mamedov, but he wasn't allowed to.

The freestyle wrestling program at the Olympic Games in Paris will be held from 5 to 11 August. Recall that Russian wrestlers boycotted the Olympic Games because of the International Olympic Committee policy. Earlier, the IOC did not allow Olympic champions Zavur Uguev, Zaurbek Sidakov and Abdulrashid Sadulaev to participate in the Olympic Games.
