Conor McGregor's friend and teammate Peter Queally, who competes in Bellator, revealed when the UFC may organize a fight between the Irishman and Michael Chandler.
Recall, Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were supposed to headline UFC 303, which will take place on 30 June in Las Vegas (USA), but the former champion withdrew from the event due to injury.
Queally told TalkSPORT:
Do I know what Conor's injury is? Yeah and I’ll keep it to myself. It seems like they will endeavor to make that fight in September time. That's what I'm hearing. I’m so disappointed. Obviously I’m his friend. You didn’t want to see a guy you’re friends with or close to deal with something bad.
McGregor, 35, last stepped into the octagon in July 2021 at UFC 264, losing to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout in the first round. He has 22 wins and six losses on his record.
Chandler, 38, last fought in November 2022 at UFC 281, losing to Dustin Poirier by third-round choke. He has 23 wins and eight losses on his record.
