Earlier, UFC president Dana White said McGregor could be exempt from the mandatory six-month doping testing period.

As a reminder, the promotion's final event of 2023, UFC 296, will take place on December 16 in Las Vegas.
McGregor, 34, has not been in the Octagon since July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier by TKO in the first round at UFC 264. He has 22 wins and six losses under his belt.
Chandler, 37, lost his last fight at UFC 281 in November 2022 to Dustin Poirier by third-round choke. He has 23 wins and eight losses under his belt.
