David Feldman, the president of Bare Knuckle FC (BKFC), has announced that he received a promise from former UFC champion Conor McGregor about competing in the promotion. Previously, McGregor had become a minority owner of BKFC.
Feldman said in an interview with MMA Fighting:
Unless he’s the best salesman in the world, the talks that we’ve had it’s like ‘I’m fighting here.’ I’m like yeah, OK. I go, ‘Why wouldn’t you fight here?’ Because you have equity in the company and if you fight here, you’ll probably make more money than anywhere else in the world because of what it’s going to do for the company. So I truly believe what you said — I think 100 percent he fights here.
McGregor's last fight took place against American fighter Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. In that bout, McGregor suffered a technical knockout due to a broken leg. His career record in mixed martial arts stands at 22 wins and six losses.
