Former UFC champion in two weight categories Conor McGregor gave unfavorable comments about famous MMA trainers, including Khabib Nurmagomedov's mentor Javier Mendez. In doing so, the Irishman praised his coach John Kavanagh.
Recall that Khabib and McGregor met in the Octagon in October 2018 at the UFC 229 tournament. In that confrontation, Nurmagomedov won by submission in the fourth round.

McGregor had his last fight against American Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. In that fight, Conor was defeated by TKO as a result of a broken leg.
McGregor made his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage in April 2013. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended with Conor winning by TKO. He has 22 wins and six losses under his belt.
