
UFC star Jorge Masvidal recently took to his social media to announce his intention to run for a seat in the Florida State Senate.
I believe I could make a real difference in the State Senate—particularly in fighting the child sex trafficking which we all know is happening in Miami-Dade County.

Masvidal has not competed in MMA since April 2023, when he lost to Gilbert Burns by unanimous decision at UFC 287. Prior to that, in March 2022, Jorge faced Colby Covington at UFC 272, where he also lost by unanimous decision. His professional record stands at 35 wins and 17 losses.
