Noted MMA journalist Ariel Helwani commented on a statement made by Ali Abdelaziz, manager of UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, regarding the amount of saline drips allowed in the promotion.
Previously, Abdelaziz wrote on Twitter that any UFC fighter is allowed to receive approximately three liters of saline intravenously as long as a medical professional is in charge. Some time later, however, Ali deleted his post.
I think he deleted that post because someone told him he was compromising himself with that tweet. It's forbidden to take two or three liters, and it doesn't matter if the professional did it or not. Only 100 ml in twelve hours is allowed. A massive difference.

Previously, Australian UFC fighters Alex Volkanovski and Dan Hooker accused Makhachev of using banned saline drips prior to UFC 284. USADA later announced it would investigate the possible violation, but noted there was no hard evidence of what he did at the time.
