UFC fighter Manel Kape commented on the news about the clash with the British fighter of Dagestan origin Muhammad Mokaev. The bout of these fighters should take place on July 27 at UFC 304 in Manchester.
Earlier, fighter Jean Silva claimed that Kape and Mokaev got into a fight at the UFC Performance Institute gym in Las Vegas.
MMA Fighting quotes Kape as saying:
Nothing happened. It was just Jean. Mokaev is in Dagestan or England, and I'm in Vegas. We did not have any fight. People like to buy this fan story. By the way, Jean is a good promoter. He's a good seller at the end of the day. Me and Mokaev are good, we are brothers, nothing like this happened.
Kape last fought Felipe dos Santos in September 2023 at UFC 293. Manel won that fight by unanimous decision. He has 19 wins and six losses on his record.
Mokaev last stepped into the octagon against Alex Perez in March of this year at UFC Fight Night 238. That fight went the full distance and ended in Muhammad's favor by unanimous decision. Mokaev has 12 wins and no losses on his record, and one more of his fights was ruled a no contest.
