Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones said he plans to fight Stipe Miocic after his fight with Ciryl Gane.
Stipe Miocic would be a great challenge. Certainly, I have a serious fight with Gane, but Stipe Miocic is who I am looking at. A win over a guy like that would be very special, and that's what I want to do. I want to solidify my legacy, and I know I have to fight the best guys, and as long as Stipe is still in the game, he'll be on my radar. He's going to be my next target.

Jones will face Gane in the main event of UFC 285 on the night of March 5 in Las Vegas. Jones last fought against Dominick Reyes in February 2020 at UFC 247. In that encounter, Jones won by unanimous decision of the judges.
Miocic last stepped into the Octagon against Francis Ngannou in March 2021 at UFC 260. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended with a knockout loss to Stipe.
