Richard Schaefer, a counselor of former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, said his client has signed a new contract with the UFC that will make him the highest-paid heavyweight in the promotion's history.
They were very interested in working with us, and we ended up with a fair contract. This deal makes John the highest-paid heavyweight fighter in the UFC. Hunter Campbell told me he's probably second only to Conor McGregor.

Jones will fight for the league's heavyweight title at UFC 285 on March 5 against Frenchman Ciryl Gane. Jones fought in February 2020 against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended with Jones winning by unanimous decision of the judges.
Jones entered the Octagon against Thiago Santos at UFC 239 in July 2019. In that confrontation, Jones won by split decision. He has 26 wins and one loss under his belt.
