AKA gym founder Javier Mendez has revealed when former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov might return to coaching.
Mendez said in an interview with YouTube channel Red Corner MMA:
I think when Khabib's kids grow up and start practicing martial arts, he will return to MMA. But nobody can tell when that happens. If Khabib comes back, everyone will have an amazing coach and an amazing person to help them.
Khabib, 35, last stepped into the octagon against Justin Gaethje in October 2020 at UFC 254. This confrontation, which was stopped in the second round, ended with Nurmagomedov winning by technical submissions. After this fight, the Russian announced the end of his professional career. He has 29 wins and no losses on his record.
