Former UFC light heavyweight champion, American fighter Jamahal Hill revealed the plan for his upcoming fight with the division's reigning champion, Brazilian Alex Pereira. The bout will headline the UFC 300 event, which takes place on April 14 in Las Vegas, USA.
Middleeasy quoted Hill as saying:
I'm knocking him the f**k out. When I say this, this is no disrespect to Alex. How you take it is how you take it, but at the end of the day, for me there is no disrespect. I like Alex, but the way I see the fight... It's truly, truly a mismatch. Can he catch me and knock me out, yes it's a possibility to get caught and lose but short of that, he gets his a** whooped every single way.
Hill, 32, hasn't stepped into the octagon since January 2023, when he defeated Glover Teixeira by unanimous decision at UFC 283. He has 12 wins and one loss on his record.
Pereira, 36, last fought in November 2023 at UFC 295 when he defeated Jiri Prochazka by technical knockout in the second round. He has nine wins and two losses on his record.
