Former UFC two-weight champion, Canadian mixed martial arts fighter Georges St-Pierre said what he lacked when he was an active fighter.
There were three main reasons for criticism in my career. First, I never competed in heavier weight classes despite the fact that I topped my division. Second, I was too calculating. I didn't take enough risks. Third, I lacked drive. I was always a good guy, and I didn't care too much about promoting the fight, so when I came back, I aimed for the middleweight title.

St-Pierre last fought against British fighter Michael Bisping in November 2017 at UFC 217. In that confrontation, Georges won by third-round submission. In February 2019, St-Pierre announced he was ending his professional career.
St-Pierre made his UFC debut in a fight against U.S. representative Caro Parisyan in January 2004. That fight ended in Georges' favor by a unanimous decision of the judges. He has 26 wins and two losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
