Fernand Lopez, Ciryl Gane's coach, said his former charge and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is the best heavyweight in the history of the American promotion.
I think Ngannou is the best heavyweight in UFC history. Maybe second to Stipe (Miocic), but if you leave out Stipe, Francis Ngannou is the best.

Ngannou had his last fight against Gane in January 2022 at UFC 270. In that confrontation, Francis won by unanimous decision of the judges. Earlier this year, it was announced that he had left the UFC.
Ngannou fought at UFC 260 in March 2021 against Stipe Miocic of the United States. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in favor of Francis by knockout. He has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
