American UFC lightweight fighter Justin Gaethje says he is confident that a third fight against Dustin Poirier will take place in the future.
At a Fan Q&A before UFC 293, Gaethje said:
I think in time that fight is 100 percent (going to happen again). He made me wait five years, so the next fight is the undisputed championship, but I’m never going to deny him that opportunity. Again, once I get that belt, all these fights are left.
Poirier and Gaethje met in the octagon this July at UFC 291. In this confrontation, Justin won by knockout in the second round. Dustin won the first bout, which took place in April 2018, by technical knockout.
Gaethje's mixed martial arts record is 25 wins and four losses. Poirier has 29 wins and eight losses.
