Former UFC star turned BKFC fighter Paige VanZant has spoken out about the stalker who sent her messages every day for four years.

On the Paige and Austin: A Kickass Love Story podcast Vanzant said:

I had a stalker, a big time stalker. I'm training and I notice this guy watching me the whole time. Instantly, I got the vibe, 'this guy is f***ing weird', staring at me the whole time. I thought [maybe] he's a fan so you try to be nice. Of course, people can be nervous. The prime of my UFC career, maybe he's just a fan and was nervous. He comes over and starts talking to me. He's like, 'Hey, how are you? I'm so happy to me you or I'm so happy that we're together'. So, I was like what? I go step in the office, I go in the back, open the messages. He has been messaging me every single day for like at least 10 to 20 messages per day for the last, like four years. Every day he would message and message and message about how we're meant to be together.

VanZant, 29, hasn't competed since July 2021, when she lost a unanimous decision to Rachael Ostovich at Bare Knuckle FC.

VanZant had her last MMA fight in July 2020 at UFC 251, losing to Amanda Ribas via first-round painful submission. She has eight wins and five losses on her record.
