Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson refused to plead guilty to a DUI charge in court in Los Angeles.
Ferguson was arrested May 7 after his pickup truck crashed into two cars parked outside a nightclub in Hollywood and rolled over. The fighter was later released on bail.
DUI charges in California usually result in a fine of up to $1,000, as well as alcohol rehabilitation and educational classes. Incarceration is rarely imposed, especially for a first-time offender.
Tony Ferguson will fight Bobby Green on July 29 at UFC 291 in Salt Lake City, USA.
Ferguson's last fight was against Nate Diaz at UFC 279 in September of 2022. Tony lost that fight by submission in the fourth round. He has 25 wins and eight losses under his belt.
Green last stepped into the Octagon against Jared Gordon in April of this year at UFC Fight Night 222. That fight was stopped in the first round and was declared a no contest due to an accidental head clash. Bobby has 29 wins, 14 losses and one draw.
