UFC matchmakers have begun developing a third fight between reigning welterweight champion Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman. The fight should take place in Great Britain next March. The announcement was made by ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto.
The rematch between Edwards and Usman took place last August at UFC 278 in Salt Lake City. Leon won that fight by knockout in the fifth round.
Usman and Edwards met for the first time in the Octagon in December 2015 at UFC on Fox 17. At that time, Kamaru won by unanimous decision. He has 20 wins and two losses on his record. Leon has 20 wins and three losses.
