Popular Canadian rapper Aubrey Graham, better known as Drake, placed a $450,000 bet shortly before UFC 305 on Israel Adesanya winning his title fight against Dricus du Plessis.
Du Plessis and Adesanya met on August 18 in the main event of UFC 305 in Perth, Australia. Dricus won that fight by choke and defended the UFC middleweight division championship belt. Thus, Drake lost a hefty sum of money on bets.
Du Plessis has 22 wins and two losses to his credit in mixed martial arts. Adesanya has 24 wins and four defeats on his record.
