Top UFC lightweight Beneil Dariush said the promotion won't give him a fight for the division title because he isn't a media fighter.
I don't know what the issue is. Maybe it's because I don't talk about my faith as much or I'm not a troublesome guy who constantly brawls during official events. There seems to be a preference for that style in MMA now to make the fights bigger. You talk a lot, you can even slap your opponent in the face. That's how fights are built nowadays.

On October 22 at UFC 280, which took place in Abu Dhabi, Dariush stepped into the octagon against Mateusz Gamrot. Beneil won the fight by a unanimous decision of the judges. Recall that the Iranian is on a streak of eight straight wins and is ranked fourth in the division. Dariush has a total of 22 wins and four losses.
Previously, Beneil stated that he wants to fight against fighter from Kyrgyzstan Rafael Fiziev, who has unsuccessfully challenged former UFC interim champion Justin Gaethje (#3) this year.
