American UFC fighter Colby Covington has revealed that the promotion's former middleweight champion Sean Strickland is under investigation for allegedly beating a man in Las Vegas.
Covington told Valuetainment Media:
He’s under investigation right now in Vegas. Some drunk guy was wandering the streets near his home, he goes outside the home, pistol-whips the dude in the middle of the street. He’s under crazy investigation in Vegas right now. He’s gonna be going to court.
Strickland last fought against Dricus du Plessis in January 2023 at UFC 297. In that fight, Sean was defeated by a split decision of the judges. He has 28 wins and six losses on his record.
Covington last entered the octagon against Leon Edwards in December 2023 at UFC 296. That fight went the full distance and ended in a unanimous decision defeat for Colby. He has 17 wins and four losses on his record.
