Former UFC middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa believes that the management is biased against Brazilian fighters and deliberately pays them less than the others.
I think they offer very low fees to Brazilians because they think, 'These bastards live in their Brazilian jungle, they don't need money. Their national currency is five times lower than the dollar, so we shouldn't overpay them. The mentality of Brazilians says, 'Okay, I agree to your terms.' I made that mistake. But it's not a fair business. I'm ready to fight in March, and if the UFC wants my fight with Whittaker, let them send a contract with the right numbers.
