Former UFC two-weight champion, American Henry Cejudo has spoken out about Khabib Nurmagomedov's departure from the MMA industry as a coach.
I actually respect Khabib even more now because I understand his decision. I know how much he travels, and I think a lot of people just don't understand that. How glad I am that Khabib has really come to realize that. After all, he has accomplished more than any average Joe. From the bottom of my heart, Khabib, I understand you and believe you. Congratulations on your endeavors, because family is everything.

Earlier, Khabib made the decision to leave the MMA industry in terms of coaching. It later became known that Nurmagomedov wouldn't be present in Islam Makhachev's corner during his championship bout against Alex Volkanovski at UFC 284.
Khabib faced U.S. representative Justin Gaethje in his last fight, which took place at UFC 254 in October 2020. Nurmagomedov won that fight with a choke hold. After that fight, the Russian announced the end of his career and switched to coaching. He has 29 wins and no losses under his belt.
Cejudo faced Dominick Cruz at the UFC 249 tournament in May 2020. That confrontation ended with Henry's victory by TKO in the second round. Cejudo, 35, has 16 wins and two losses under his belt.
