Brazilian UFC fighter Bruno Silva revealed that he lost a significant portion of his vision due to the pokes to his eyes that Chris Weidman gave him in the fight.
MMA Fighting quotes Silva as saying:
[Weidman] poked both my eyes, and the exam showed I lost 30 percent of my vision in one of the eyes. But the doctor doesn't think it's permanent, he thinks it will come back fast. I'll have to go back there next week for another test.
Recall, on the night of March 31, Weidman defeated Silva by technical knockout in the third round. Later the result of the fight was changed to the victory of Chris by unanimous decision of judges.
Weidman had his previous fight in August 2023 at UFC 292, losing to Brad Tavares by unanimous decision. He has 16 wins and seven losses under his belt.
