UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has admitted that he fears all of his opponents in the world's strongest league, including Jon Jones.
Bloody Elbow quotes Aspinall as saying:
I don’t make it a secret that I want to fight him. I’ve done all I can so far. Am I afraid of him? Absolute. I fear all my opponents. These guys are the best in the world, absolutely the best in the world. I’m absolutely scared of him, that’s what fuels me. So I want to prove that I’m the best in the world.
Aspinall last stepped into the octagon against Sergei Pavlovich in November 2023 at UFC 295. Tom won that fight by first-round knockout and captured the UFC interim heavyweight title. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
Jones last fight was in March 2023 at UFC 285, where he fought Frenchman Ciryl Gane. In that fight, Jon won by first-round submission and claimed the UFC heavyweight championship belt. He has 27 wins and one loss on his record.
