Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has published a new post on social media, speaking about former division champion Stipe Miocic.

Since Stipe last won a fight, I have blown my knee out, went through the rehab process and had a year off, also had seven UFC fights, including four wins vs top-10 ranked opponents and won the interim title on two weeks’ notice. Absolutely, Stipe has a great Resume and is a legend in his own right. So has Tony Furgeson. Maybe we should give him a shot at the undisputed title next too?

Miocic last fought in March 2021 against Francis Ngannou at UFC 260. That fight was stopped in the second round and ended in a knockout loss for Stipe. He has 20 wins and four losses on his record.

Aspinall's last fight was against Sergei Pavlovich in November 2023 at UFC 295. In this confrontation, Tom won by knockout in the first round and won the UFC interim heavyweight title. He has 14 wins and three losses on his record.
