Top UFC heavyweight division fighter Brazilian Jailton Almeida named his favorite of the upcoming interim heavyweight title fight between Russian Sergei Pavlovich and British Tom Aspinall. The bout will be the co-main event of UFC 295, which takes place on November 12 in New York, USA.

As far as who I see as the favorite, I think Tom Aspinall didn’t have the mentality that he was going to fight for the belt. Meanwhile, Pavlovich is a guy that had his mind focused on fighting for the belt, and he was serving as backup and was doing a full camp. I think I’ll favor Pavlovich. He’s the guy with the full camp, and Aspinall was just training to train.

Pavlovich last fought against Curtis Blaydes in April 2023 at UFC Fight Night 222. In that confrontation, Sergei won by technical knockout in the first round. He has 18 wins and one loss on his record.

Aspinall last entered the octagon against Marcin Tybura in July 2023 at UFC Fight Night 224. Tom won that fight by technical knockout in the first round. He has 13 wins and three losses under his belt.
