Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya believes that Jiri Prochazka will defeat Alex Pereira and regain the light heavyweight title.
Recall, the fight between Prochazka and Pereira will headline the UFC 295 tournament, which will take place on November 12 in New York (USA).
Adesanya said on his Youtube channel:
I'll say Pereira is a special human being - not just a fighter. He's got a special ability when it comes to putting people to sleep. He can do it to anyone. It's a hard fight for both men. But again, it's a hard fight for Jiri because of that time bomb. You can diffuse the bomb - that's the thing. You have to find out how to diffuse the bomb. It's exciting, but regardless, I'm going with Jiri Prochazka.
Prochazka, 31, last stepped into the octagon in June 2022 at UFC 275, defeating Glover Teixeira by choke in the fifth round. He has 29 wins, three losses and one draw on his record.
Pereira, 36, last fought in July 2023 at UFC 291, defeating Jan Blachowicz by split decision. He has eight wins and two losses on his record.
