Adesanya's last fight took place in August this year at UFC 305, where he faced the promotion's middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis. In that match, which ended in the fourth round, Israel suffered a defeat by submission. He holds a record of 24 wins and four losses in mixed martial arts.
