Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya expressed his belief that the sport of mixed martial arts will soon see a rise in dominance from Mexican fighters.
Adesanya said on his YouTube channel:
A lot of kids who would have maybe gone into boxing would start doing MMA and not just doing kickboxing or jiu-jitsu, like MMA as a whole and then it’s going to be, in a few generations you’ll see like a wave of Mexican fighters who have that Mexican spirit. You’ll see them like just dominating the UFC.
Adesanya's last fight was against Dricus вu Plessis in August this year at UFC 305. In that bout, which was stopped in the fourth round, Israel suffered a loss by submission. His current professional record is 24 wins and four losses.
