"It was a good, interesting fight. Perhaps not exciting for casual viewers, but definitely intriguing for professionals. Usman was good; he used his feet well and maintained distance effectively. He made some solid takedown attempts," Gordeev said in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net.

Usman Nurmagomedov faced Alexandr Shabliy on September 8 during the main event of the Bellator Champions Series in San Diego, USA. Usman won the fight by unanimous decision, defending his Bellator lightweight title.
Nurmagomedov’s mixed martial arts record now stands at 18 wins with no losses and one fight ruled a no contest. Shabliy has achieved 24 wins and experienced four losses in his career.
