Jamaica came on top during the 4 x 100m relay in the women’s competition holding their firm grip on sprinting events. Earlier, Jamaican women also claimed all the three medals in the individual 100m sprint, showcasing their dominance.
The quartet of Brianna Williams, Elaine Herah-Thompson, Shelly Ann Fraser, and Shericka Jackson finished the relay in 41.02 seconds, while the silver medalists USA completed it in 41.45 seconds. The USA won the competition during the 2016 Rio Olympics.
