Indian batter Jemimah has already achieved quite a lot at the age of 21. She reached 1000+ runs in the latest T20I versus Australia at an average of 27.70. The batter had a stellar the Hundred campaign and ended up among the top scorers, showcasing her ability to dominate the bowling through lovely drives and inside-out shots. She missed out on the ODI series versus Australia but carried her form to the first T20I where she managed 49 off just 36 balls before rain intervened.
I think it was a matter of waiting for the right time. I have realised it now. I don't want to rush into things. I know when it has to come to me, nobody can stop it, and when it comes, it'll be something big. I was happy to be back out there after so long, I waited a long time for this. Sitting out and watching everyone play, sometimes you wonder 'when will my time come'. Today when the chance came, I was just enjoying it. I'm not very disappointed that the fifty didn't happen because I know there are loads of runs coming.
