England Rugby’s Zoe Aldcroft said that her team executed well against the reigning champions New Zealand but it will mean nothing if they lost their next game in Northampton. She also said that the team didn’t celebrate too much considering how the New Zealand team can put up a fight in the subsequent games.
England beat New Zealand 43-12 in a decisive manner during the first test while scoring seven tries. However, it must be noted that New Zealand played without the services of their prime players in Kelly Brazier and Portia Woodman and also the team played for the first time since 2019, so a turn in fortunes can occur.
It has made us think we can actually beat the Black Ferns. We didn't celebrate too much because we knew we have an even bigger game coming up to back it up, If we don't perform this week, last week kind of means nothing. We know New Zealand are going to be coming out fighting. Hopefully, we can get the second win and finish the job. We can't be complacent at all.
